About looking for an online Bachelors degree progam that all 60 of my general education credits will transfer into

Looking for an online Bachelors degree progam that all 60 of my general education credits will transfer into?
I have an associates degree in general studies and I want to finish up my degree online. I have looked into the General Studies BA degree from the Ball State University online program and am searching for something similar to that.

Ashworth College has a fairly generous transfer credit policy. They will give you credit for up to 75% of a Bachelors degree program. You can transfer credits from another college or university, or you can receive life/work credit by taking a test to demonstrate your knowledge. As long as your associate degree credits are from an accredited school there should be no problem. Sounds like you are looking for an online program, which Ashworth offers.
2 :
Ashworth College, spammed below, is a worthless for-profit school which lacks regional accreditation.
3 :
It is up to each university to determine what credits they will accept. Post University offers online bachelors and masters degree programs. According to the university's transfer admissions page, "if you earned an Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution, you can transfer in all 60 credits toward a Post University Bachelor’s Degree in the same major." You can see a list of all of their bachelor degree programs here: http://www.post.edu/online/programs.shtml I hope this helps!

About can you get a degree online in a year without having another degree first

Can you get a degree online in a year without having another degree first?
I see these ads to earn your degree in a year but when you go to them it is for a bachelor's or a master's or something that you already have to have at least an associates for. Is there some online college or a school with an online program where I can get an associate's degree in a year? I'm just tired of trying to cut through bs.

Depending on how many terms the college/university offers per year and how many courses you take; there might be a possibility to get a AS degree in a year (if you get the right courses too). Most colleges have AS degrees that are 60 semester hours in length. BS/BA's could be from 120-124. For example: if a college offers 4 terms and you take 4 courses each term. 4 x 4 = 16 ----> that 16 is per term Now 16 x 5 (terms in a year) = 60 semester hours. 60 semester hours in a specific field can get you an AS deg.
2 :
You can probably get a degree in a year -- but not one that will hep get you a job or that anyone will respect.
3 :
You definitely can, they are accelerated, so it's alot of work. Congrats on your decision to further your education, you certainly don't want to end up with a career as a Level 7 Yahoo Answers guy, such as the poster above.

There is a way to get a regionally accredited associates degree in liberal arts in a year, but it will be a lot of work. From there, you will be able to enroll in a regionally accredited bachelors program program from a state school. Go to one of the following three schools and get their catalog and degree requirements for an AA degree in liberal arts. Excelsior College - www.excelsior.edu Charter Oak State College - www.cosc.edu Thomas Edison State College - www.tesc.edu Then go to http://www.collegeboard.com and look for CLEP tests. Get information on all of the different CLEP tests and try and match as many as you can to the degree requirements. Also, go to http://www.getcollegecredit.com and try and match DSST tests to other degree requirements. Once you have an idea of what tests you will need to take, go to Amazon.com and order study guides. Also, go to http://www.instantcertonline.com and sign up for the online study materials. You can ask questions at the forum for instantcert at http://www.instantcertonline.com/forums/ The forums are free, you don't have to subscribe to the study materials site, if you don't want to. There may be some courses that you will not be able to meet using CLEPs and DSSTs. Fill the rest with independent study courses at LSU. http://is.lsu.edu Good luck

About where is the best source online to get a bachelors degree

Where is the best source online to get a bachelors degree??
I have an associate's degree in business administration and am looking for the best online source to compare bachelors degree programs online.

university of pheonix is your best bet.

My friend got all the way through his PhD from Weldon University online, and he said very good things about Weldon.

To compare? Go to the link to get information about a number of different programs. Personally, I believe if you can get it from a 'real' school that has an online program (like a state college or a business school that's well known), you're better off than just some upstart only online program. (That's what I did - got my Master's without setting foot on the campus.) So, check out some big colleges to see if they offer online degrees, too.
5 :
Try University of Phoenix, they are one of the most highly visible and apparently successful online universities out there.
6 :
I am currently a junior at Upper Iowa University. I love it and highly recommended it to anyone! The courses are 8 week terms and you only need to take 2 courses per term to be considered full-time for financial aid etc. Check it out at www.uiu.edu

Univ of Phoenix is extremely expensive ($500+/Credit hour) I got mine from Bellevue University, they're reasonably priced and the program can be accelerated. Mine was 18 months long. If you go there they have something called the Kirkpatrick signature series that you take at the end of the program and is three courses long. It is mandatory for all students. If you go to Bellevue, just don't take the sig series with Dr. Devine, he's a jerk and deliberately creates religious hostility in the classroom and then gives you poor grades if you dare to disagree with him. I went from a perfect 4.0 to a 3.86 because of that loser. Right now I'm doing my masters degree at Walden University. Yeah, I was so pissed at Devine that I refused to do my master's there. I think Walden Univ has a bachelor program, though not sure. Capella Univ is another reasonably priced online college. Good luck to you. It all depends on what you want to study.

As an employer, I can tell you that I don't consider a bachelors online degrees anywhere near the equivalent of a real bachelors degree in a classroom setting. My experience tells me that those online degrees are really a cash cow for whoever's selling them... the only employer I know who seems to consider these degrees happens to be in state or federal government!

About accredited online colleges - associate's degree

Accredited Online Colleges - Associate's Degree?
I'm interested in starting back to school in the next six months. I'll likely be transitioning to a work-at-home situation with my current employer soon, and I'd like to multi-task with some online courses(light load to start, of course). I'm very good at that, and frankly I've tackled MUCH more intensive jobs than the one I'm doing now with great ease, so I'm not concerned about focus, etc. I'm interested in associates degrees in two fields: -Programming: C++, some 3D design work, and (if possible) an emphasis on physics-based programming(I would love to program the way that objects interact with eachother in games, etc) -or-(And yes, these are very different) -SOMETHING that would be a step towards professional counseling, I would be interested in specializing in helping couples who live 'alternative' lifestyles, as I have a lot of friends who have made these choices in their lives, and I've been personally affected by some myself. A lot of them come to me for help and advice with these relationships, and I think it might be rewarding to try and help people with these things for a living. I'll need to do all (or a very strong MOST) of this from home during the day. I don't mind if I occasionally have to go somewhere to take a test, etc; but it needs to be VERY infrequent, so that I can continue a full time job. I'm not interested in University of Phoenix, ITT Tech, or any other trade schools. I'm interested in real, accredited colleges, that won't kill me on costs(I'm not made of money, and I've got rent, car payments, insurance, etc to take care of at the same time.) Can someone suggest good paths to take for either of these degrees online? Again, no trade schools please!

An associate's degrees is not going to be able to help you in a path to professional counseling. However, I would suggest going to different school's websites because these days, most "real" colleges offer online programs. Indiana State University, Harrison College, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, and Ball State University all have online or distance independent learning programs. Google "colleges or universities" if you cannot think of enough and start looking at their sites for information on online programs

Dear , I will suggest you http://eeducation.freevar.com Best of luck

Firstly I want to mention that i admire the basis on which you selected counseling. I hardly hear of such decisions. Anyways to the point. An Associate's Degree is never going to be enough in either fields. For counseling, you need atleast a masters. You can check out Capella University and University of West Alabama. Talking about 3D design, regent university. Hope that helps. kevin

About how much does it cost, exactly, to get a 2-year degree online

How much does it cost, exactly, to get a 2-year degree online?
I am looking to go back to college online for an Associates degree in business administration/human resources management. There are thousands of resources on the Internet and I am finding it daunting trying to figure out how MUCH each online program costs. I am hopeful someone reading this will know of a succinct resource that breaks this humongous list down by pricing.

The cost depends on the school. A local community college will probably be the most reasonable, then in-state universities. For-profit schools like the University of Phoenix will usually be the most espensive. You also want to look at how much the degree will be respected in the work world if that's why you want to attend. Of the three types of schools listed above, the university would probably be the most respected, then the community college, then the U of Pnx. Schools generally charge by the credit hour, often plus some kind of fee each term. A community college might be under $100 a credit hour for residents, a state university might be a couple hundred or more for residents, and the for-profit schools might be $400 to $500 or more. Most legitimate schools will have cost info on their websites. Getting an associates degree will probably involve taking about 56 credit hours.
2 :
The cost depends on the institution. For instance, when I earned my degree online, I was charged $300/credit. Well, if my course was 36 credits, the cost of my degree was $10,800. The school you choose should be able to tell you the cost of the program you want to attend. Best wishes...

I am an in-state student at a technical school that offers associate's degrees. I am a full time student, and I pay about $475 per quarter, plus the cost of books. Books can range from under $40 to upwards of $200 per quarter. Out-of-state students pay more for tuition. So basically I'm paying at least $2000 per year, and if you go full-time for two years, then it's around $4,000 plus the cost of the books for the courses. Hope that helps you! Good luck!

About Has anyone completed the paralegal associates degree program from sbbc

Has anyone completed the Paralegal Associates Degree Program from SBBC?
I am currently in the process of enrollment for the online program. I am having second thoughts about the credibility of the school and my degree. Will any law firm take me seriously? I cannot seem to find any feedback from former students who have taken this program. (Other than what the school's website has published.) I am a mother of three so the online aspect is very appealing, however, I don't want to waste my time, and more importantly, my money. Any suggestions?

Is it a totally online program? If it is, it is not ABA-approved. They do not approve online programs. I am entering a paralegal program this Fall. I have done a lot of research. Almost everything I read mentions that employers want an approved school. Even if you get hired by one that does not, if you want to move on, you may find employers that want the approval, so you are limiting your options. There are quite a few programs near me, but few that are approved. The one I chose is at my local community college. I have a BA, so I need to take 30 credits and do an internship. They also have an Associates for those without a BA, which is about 66 credits. My cost will be under 5,000 and that includes books. It will take me 2 years going part-time. I had found another school that was charging 14,000 and was not approved. It takes a year. This is an actual university and for people with BAs. The cost scared me, but the fact there was no approval led me to decide on the other school. So, it really can vary with costs and structure. I would not take one that is not approved. And I am not certain how law firms would feel about an online school. I will tell you what else I have found-they want experience above all else, so when you get out of school, you will have to start in an entry-level job. I think having an online degree will make it even harder, because you have had no contact. I will be working with several attorneys as my professors and I will have the internship. I would be very careful. Check out the schools near you. I am going at night. Good luck!

I am planning to take online courses as well but this will be very difficult especially for this coming winter. I talked to the advising Center and she told me Health Care courses are only for on campus. So if you like, i can help you. Do you like to study in Seattle, WA? I have a source. This person can help you. Firstly, if you like, you can talk to her on the Phone, Tell her that if there is any other health care for online course. Hope this helps

An online degree can be a great option. You can put your time intao study instead of driving back and forth. The biggest thing you want to watch out for is to make sure you are going to a quality school. The best way I know to do that is to call up a few of the big, well established state universities in your state and ask if you can transfer credits from the associate program you are considering to them. If they say no, then you probably should look at a different school. Also another problem that a lot of people run into with online degrees is licensing.  There are some schools out there that offer an accredited online degree, but the degree doesn't prepare you to sit for the licensing test. So lets say you get a degree as a nurse, but you aren't allowed to take the test to be licensed as a nurse because your degree isn't certified for that. I don't think you'll run into something like that with medical records, but it is still something to watch for. Make sure you will be prepared enough that someone could actually employ you. I'd suggest trying to get an interview with the human resources director of a nearby hospital. Lay out the plan of what you are planning to do for education and ask if they would hire someone with those qualifications. I know that the HR director of our local hospital would happily take the time to help you. They have to look so hard for good employees that they would be happy to take 30 minutes to give someone some advice on how to prepare to work in health care. They can give you a good idea of how your degree will be viewed by someone who will actually do the hiring. Good luck in your education and career!
